Sunbae

As the financial year end draws to a closure (31st March), here’s another post to look back at the past. This time though a post about one of the most cherished relationship that I still hover about.. Sunbae… Pavitra Krishnamoorthy

As i reminisce the year i had spent with you, flood of emotions gushes out as my thoughts go to our first encounter with Sokku. My saviour as I got struck between the mutual funds of Sokkalingam aka Sokku (as we fondly called him thereafter) an individual whose Memo and STI, I was required to verify. Being a new entrant to the world of articleship, I managed to succeed in verifying the memo with your directions. You helped me wriggle out of the queries that arose during the process of verification even though you were in an even more terrific condition in the tax audit season " finalizing with partner''.

Real patience, sheer grit and composure that you showed. It still inspires me a lot.

The conference at the PSU audit allowed me to get more acquainted to you. The every day travel together crossing the Chennai city limit for about 3 months in the ''Ice cream drivers'' cab or the next driver anna who saved us from old melodramatic songs. Each day had its own share of fun unlimited.
The days when we dodged our time with our "so called" beloved Sangu or "Mr. Helping Tendency"( those lectures seem laughable as I look back now). The number of teasers that you endured from the one who hates 'pink' will leave us howling with laughter even now. It was one awesome audit and with you, I learnt to unleash the spirit towards working in a team and learning the path to proceed.

But the conference carried forward to the KFC audit. I seriously had a bang-on time. The ice creams at IBACO, the mouth watering pav bhajji.. hmm., i miss all of that.. Can I say, one of the best parts of that audit was our sensational singing of the "kannazhaga" song and irritating our fellow team member or may be tackling the unstoppable nagging cashier..(think we would never forget her for her calls and speeches that she made..)

The number of times we exactly started singing same lines of the same song.. the endless discussing about sarees, asscessories for your brother's wedding..the “ port visit”.. the office trips (cannot restrain from mentioning the sad faced photo.. :-P) hmm.. the list goes on.. as every moment with you ‘was’.. ‘is’ .. ‘and will’ be a cherishable one

Guiding me throughtout my first year.. teaching me the basics.. Preparing me for finalisation over phone during your precious exam leave..  oh.. I owe you..a lot..

Words can’t really define the gratitude I feel even as I think about all that after all the years that has passed nor does this space..

Struggling with the time that has sped..
Hoobae..
